Issues

Carrie Espinoza Villanueva is tired of California politicians who say one thing and do another — and so are the people of this state.

Carrie’s priorities are clear: lower the cost of living by cutting taxes and unnecessary regulations, address homelessness and addiction with compassion and firmness, promote education that leads to real jobs, protect retirees from having their savings taxed away, and push back against Sacramento’s unethical and destructive policies.

Stop the Tax Hikes

California doesn't have a budget problem — it has a spending problem! Tax and spend politicians in Sacramento continue to increase taxes to pay for their pet projects while taxpayers suffer. For example, Sacramento politicians continue to lament high gas prices while voting to INCREASE your gas tax! They just hope you won't notice! In fact, hundreds of tax hikes are on the ballot this year across the state!

Carrie Espinoza Villanueva will fight to block and stop the constant tax hike schemes in Sacramento and return more money to your wallet — because every penny saved is especially important for protecting our seniors and most vulnerable.

Restore Election Integrity

Carrie Espinoza Villanueva supports common-sense election integrity reforms to speed up the counting of votes and ensure government is more accountable to voters. These reform include maintaining accurate voter rolls, implementing voter ID requirements, and improving the signature verification process.

Keep Our Communities Safe

Carrie Espinoza Villanueva will fight to fully fund Prop 36 and ensure that law enforcement receives the support it needs in order to keep our communities safe and keep criminals off of our streets!

Support Economic Growth

Carrie Espinoza Villanueva will fight to champion quality education and to reduce barriers and regulations for small businesses to promote economic growth and job creation.

Reduce Homelessness

Homelessness is on the rise, exacerbated by failed government policies. We know housing alone will not solve this problem, and the root cause – mental illness and addiction – needs to be addressed.

Carrie Espinoza Villanueva will fight to implement programs that actually help people break the cycle of homelessness by treating mental illness and drug addiction.
